Jurnal Midwifery menerbitkan peer review penelitian terbaru internasional untuk menginformasikan subjek  keselamatan, kualitas, hasil dan pengalaman kehamilan, kelahiran dan perawatan dalam subjek persalinan. Jurnal ini  mempublikasikan materi yang diharapkan mampu memberikan dukungan bidan dan penyedia perawatan bersalin untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengembangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap diinformasikan dengan bukti terbaik (evidence-based medicine) yang tersedia.
