LIBRARY BASED ON NET GENERATION USERS

Abstract

Building the digital age to a generation with features that contrast with the previous generation, Net generation is a generation born after 1995 or better said after 2000. This generation was born when the internet began to enter and thrive in human life. Without understanding the upcoming generation of future life without the Internet, computers and mobile phones. Previously, there were generations that originated in 1946-1964, the baby blooms indicated. While the 1965-1979 generation generation generation X. Generation Y is on the rise 1985-1995. The generation that grew and developed when it was elevated in the powerful use of information and communication technology, which is called the Internet or net generation. Most major dependence on the Internet lead to them using the internet as a source of information compared with library. The many survey found that the net generation acknowledges the importance of the library as a source of information, but for them more promising facilities use internet and access speed. Libraries should work on the development of libraries in the field of information technology, physical convenience, collections and library services to match the characteristics of the net generation, so they want to take a look at and bring interested physics or internet to the library.
