Abstract

Today's world is surrounded by the sophistication of technology and information constantly present and flowing most abundantly. On the positive side of information technology, bureaucratic changes took place in organizations and institutions, especially those in the field of service. This is a consequence of the emergence of information technology that gave positive value to an organization and certainly the community. Technology becomes the door for both private institutions and especially the government to access public services that have known the importance of the information. Evolving information technology calls for new generations in the presence of the Net Generation society where the generation comes along with the development of information technology, which is initiated in the community and is a necessity for each individual. While the previous generation Y generation becomes part of the new generation that is where most people can accept them with a good presence and use of technology for day-to-day activities. Two generations abandoned every renewal and a major challenge for organizations and institutions, especially those who work in the field of service as a library. Renewal is meant that Generation Y has little influence on the growth of the library, because among the Librarian that came from this generation, a change in mentality will bring more advanced in the library. Librarian Generation Y already has knowledge in the field of education, which has been the library of past developments and any experience they gained while working, on the one hand, librarian at that age to raise the rise of information technology Enjoy and is pleased to feel the presence of information technology. Librarian of all ages have advanced ideas that they expect their library development, supported by information technology to the extent that the carrier communities gain access to library facilities. While the generation Y, dependent who is willing to a modern librarian library science students who are still studying where they were when they were between the 18-24 year old seedlings librarian, that will help the Y generation prior to the role of the carry on the library for improvement.
